Manuary Monday, Part 1

At this point, most people are familiar with No-Shave-November, or its alternate title, Mo-vember, where guys annoy their wives/girlfriends and refuse to shave their upper lips for a month. Mo-vember is then followed by Decem-beard, where gentlemen are encouraged to finish off their facial hair by growing in their beards. Naturally, if a man participated in No-Shave-November rather than Mo-vember, then the following month is Don’t-Shave-December.

Regardless, the following month is most appropriately called “Man-uary.” Yes, the first month fo the year, when men all over the country try to grow as much facial hair as possible. Man-uary, when I will be growing in my beard and mustache.

I stopped shaving my face on Christmas Eve, and so this picture is from January 1st, the official start of Manuary, and my 31 days without shaving. (I actually won’t shave until February, but that for the Blonde to be annoyed about.)

beard, facial hair, Manuary, No Shave November, don't shave December, Movember, Mo-Vember, Decembeard, Decem-beard, moustache, mustache, Vegan's husband, vegan husband, vegan shaving, vegan face care, vegan beard care

Please, ignore how hideous I look in these pics. It’s about the beard. (Or lack thereof. . .)

This picture is from the first Monday of Manuary, and I swear, I have neither shaved nor trimmed. You can see that my facial hair grows really, really slowly. . .

Do you, or does your man, not shave? When, and when you finally change your man-scaping, what shaving cream and/or razor do you use?

  1. Fear not good sir, for we see already the makings of woolly greatness about your chin. Though we do not believe an excuse to Beard is ever required, we do applaud your resolve.

  2. […] just another week, and let’s be honest, the change isn’t really that big from last week, but hey, if the goal of these three months of facial hair is to raise awareness about prostate […]
