Quick and Raw
So, I won’t be spending too much time here, because I am starting a raw food challenge with two of my Twitter peeps, @Hungry_hippie and @AddyB123. Right after Christmas, @Hungry_hippie put out a tweet seeing who might be interested in doing a raw food challenge, and we’ve spent the past three weeks or so planning by sending recipe websites and food ideas back and forth.
Eventually, we settled on 1/14 as the day for us to start, and so today, I’ll be a food-shopping, bean-sprouting, meal-planning fool. The Blonde has a few jars of out to sprout as we speak, and I have what appears to be a pretty good white gazpacho recipe that I’ll toss into the Vita-Mix.
We’ve also started planning our visit to Great Sage next weekend to wrap up the raw-ness. I’ll also be straight-up stealing recipes from VeRAWnica’s blog where she is mostly raw, and Choosing Raw, where there are a bunch of resources.
So, I know this is a short one, but, without further ado, when I wake up tomorrow, my oven will stay off for seven days!
