Beer Wednesday – Cisco Whale’s Tale Pale Ale

Happy Beer Wednesday!

This week, I’m thrilled to bring you my final Cisco Breweries beer for a while: Whale’s Tale Pale Ale.

Cisco, Nantucket, Cisco Breweries, pale ale, english pale ale, english ale, Nantucket brewery

Whale’s Tale Pale Ale is Cisco’s flagship ale, and it is one that I’m a pretty big fan of. The color is a beautiful cloudy golden, with a rich foamy head that leaves great lacing.

The flavor kept up with the color, with a really strong balance of bitter hops and rich malt. If you don’t like bitter beer, then I might shy away from this, as it is a beer that is about the hops, and these are not citrusy hops. The hops are bitter, but not unpleasantly so, which only speaks to the balance of the malt.

I really like this beer, and so I’m really quite happy to give Cisco’s Whale’s Tale Pale Ale a 5/6 on my six-pack scale. Show them a little love, and then let me know how much you loved this beer!

5 out of 6, 5/6 sixpack, opened six pack
