Beer Wednesday – Six Point Global Warmer

Happy Beer Wednesday!

This week I’m a little embarrassed to be reviewing Six Point Brewery‘s strong ale, Global Warmer.

Six Point Brewery. Six Point, Brooklyn Beer, Brooklyn brewery, Global Warmer, Strong ale, American Ale

I’m a littler embarrassed because I only picked this beer up because of a badge on the beer-tracking/social network app Untappd.

That embarrassing little fact aside, the beer was pretty tasty. Print during a can that looks more like a Red Bull can than a beer can, Global Warmer was a solid strong ale.

Opening up with a strong citrus nose, the taste was a lot of what you might expect: Super hoppy, but floral hoppy, then a smooth citrus flavor came through. There was next to no malt, and the finish was just the tiniest bit bitter. Don’t misunderstand me, it was so tasty, and in fact, the bitterness helped balance the 7% ABV so that it isn’t alcoholic tasting.

Overall, I’m very happy to give this tasty beer a 5/6 on my six-pack scale. Give it a shot and let met know what you think.

5 out of 6, 5/6 sixpack, opened six pack
