Merry, Merry

First, Merry Christmas!

I’ve been. . . absent. . . lately from here, with the (pretty continual) exception of me Beer Wednesday posts, I haven’t really posted a blog in months. I have a number of good reasons, first among them is that I am studying to get my administrator’s certification, and the classes that I am taking are both expensive and time-consuming. Their expense is mitigated only by the fact that I am an  acting administrator at my district’s night school so that I can pay for those pesky classes.

The time that they consume is time that I previously would have spent cooking or blogging. Needless to say, if you follow the Blonde on Facebook, you’ve seen her pictures of “Missy throws stuff in a pan.” She’s been cooking for herself more than either of us would like this past year, and, unfortunately, this will probably continue through the winter.

Disappointing? Yes

Avoidable? No

Now, I’m not making excuses here, I started this school year with every intention of keeping up with all of my responsibilities. I haven’t, but I still have fantasies where I can keep up. Maybe the new year will be better, but as my first class of the spring semester starts January 14th, I’m not optimistic.

But don’t fret! I am still taking pictures of cook food I make, and I’m still drinking new, exciting vegan beers. I will still be posting about beer, mostly because that’s a little bit easier than a full on post (but I also use that as an excuse to keep drinking, so there’s that. . .). I promise to get back to where I should be, in fact, I even have my very first giveaway that I’m trying to figure out!

Yup, be excited for good stuff in 2014. . . Just maybe not right away. . .

So Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays, and I’ll see you all soon. (I promise!)

  1. I’ve noticed many bloggers getting weighed with other more pressing matters (raising kids, going to school, finding a job…all worthy distractions!) so I wouldn’t fret. Your followers will still be here, even if we too don’t have as much time to blog (a/k/a/ read blogs) as we used to.

That said, I appreciate what you do! Keep it up. I promise to check in when I can. Happy New Year…and good luck in school. 🙂

    • Thanks a ton. The more and more we all seem to do, the more we want to do, naturally. Hopefully I can get some decent work done over the next few days and not have to be so absent in the new year.

Or at least larger I can read more!
